Sky Factory recently exhibited at Healthcare Design.09 in Orlando, the premier conference for healthcare designers and researchers, and the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) Annual Meeting in Chicago. Products on display included eScape™ and SkyV™ our NEW digital cinema virtual windows and skylights; the vividly realistic large-scale Luminous EcoWall™; and a signature Luminous SkyCeiling™featuring a stunning new skyscape.

Forty blight-resistant Qing and Gideon variety Chinese chestnut trees were planted on the northeast corner of Sky Factory's 5-acre site. Next year, an acre of Dunstan chestnut trees, the premier American variety, will be added. Why plant trees? A tribe of South American Indians believes that the trees of the forest hold up the sky. According to the legend, the fall of trees will precipitate the downfall of the Earth. (Visit http://www.treelink.org/docs/29_reasons.phtml for 28 more good reasons to plant trees). As for chestnuts, they produce a delicious nut that may become a Sky Factory sideline (look for organic chestnuts in our Products section in five years).
