SkyTiles are opaque printed panels for ambient or uplighting applications. They are designed to fit standard ceiling grid systems (2'x 2' and 2'x 4'). Most catalog or custom images can be printed on SkyTiles.

Class A Media Materials:

Available in 23.75"x 23.75" and 23.75"x 47.75" panels or custom sizes. Weight: 2.6 lb and 5.2 lb. Respectively.
Rigid media: 2 mm thickness (0.010 aluminum-ferrous alloy skins with resin core)
CAUTION: The aluminum alloy, 3003, can contain up to 0.7% iron. Therefore this material will be attracted by the strong the magnetic fields present in MRI environments.
Class A rating for flame spread and smoke development.

UV Protection: Luminous SkyTiles have factory installed UV protection on the front surface. The ink and materials manufacturer gives a 70 year life expectancy to the images.

Surface Characteristics: Washable matte lamination. To clean, surface can be lightly dusted (not wiped) with a soft, clean cloth and then washed using a non-abrasive cloth with soap and water or a mild disinfectant. SkyTiles are vulnerable at the edges and can be damaged by soaking the edges in water.

Cutting: SkyTiles can be cut using standard equipment. Finished surface up.

Table saw: Thin kerf/fine tooth (80-100) or triple chip laminate blade
Band saw: Hook 6 TPI or finer or non-ferrous on Class A. Moderate speed/pressure
Jig saw (variable speed): Metal cutting blade (non-ferrous) fine tooth (12 or greater TPI). Moderate speed.
Note: Use masking tape or plastic sheet to protect surface from scratching during jig saw cutting. Drill for interior jig saw starts.

Drilling: SkyTiles can be drilled using standard equipment and bits or mandrel drills. Finished surface up.
