Homeowner Joseph Coon came up with a great solution for people who want a SkyCeiling but don’t have a hung modular ceiling. At the local building supply he found a flush mounting ceiling grid product into which he mounted a set of our Ambient SkyCeiling tiles. “The product I used to make my grid is called "CeilingMax" (ceilingmax.com), a PVC type material, easily cut to size with tin snips, and then mounted directly to the drywall or joists with 1" drywall screws,” says Joseph. “The "cross-T’s" are manufactured to the correct size (no cutting), snap into the "top hanger," are very flexible, and make tile installation easy. Once tiles are in place, a "runner" is snapped into place to secure the "cross-T’s", and that's it. Materials cost a few dollars, and in less than an hour the project was complete.” |
